Education + Community
At Fern, we really value both continued education and creating community surrounding building and building science. One of our favorite ways to do this is hosting local BS and Beer events.
Building science conversations have occurred locally for decades. Our focus is creating a group of individuals who are interested in breaking the traditional mold of residential and commercial construction by using scientific metrics to improve our building methods. By creating a casual meeting atmosphere, we share our theories, practices (both failed and successful) with one another as a means of improving building practices within our locale.
In conjunction with our friend Randy Williams (@northernbuiltpro on Instagram), we have combined the Grand Rapids, MN BS and beer with a newly formed Duluth, MN chapter. Please join us for beer, food, and focused (and unfocused) conversation! We meet once a month in Duluth.
Come learn, socialize, and grab a beer/coffee/pop/etc!
